Spectrum Call for Proposals

Spectrum 2020: The Expanding Spectrum of Technical Communication

Saturday, March 21 to Monday, March 23, 2020 at RIT

The Spectrum 2020 Call for Proposals is being developed and will be posted in the coming weeks. But you can start work on your proposal now! This year’s theme is “The Expanding Spectrum of Technical Communication.”

The spectrum expands continually, as roles filled by technical communicators, audiences they serve, topics they address, skills they need, and areas of special interest to the field all become more varied and numerous. The 2020 Spectrum theme reflects the exciting and challenging scope of work we do now as technical communicators and the growth of opportunities each year.

Your proposal can address any topic of interest to you. You’ll be invited to submit up to two proposals, and one may be for Leadership Day on Sunday, March 22. You’ll also be able to propose a workshop for Saturday, March 21, and a presentation, panel, progression, or lightning talk on the main conference day, Monday, March 23.

Start planning your proposal now and watch this page and the chapter mailing list for more information. If you’re not on the Rochester Chapter mail list, sign up today. See you at Spectrum!
